Finding the Design Direction!

Hey everybody!

As you all know, I visited chandni chowk and had a bit of an adventure. I explored the food culture and in that process, treated my taste buds to a whole lot of delicious street food.
I visited one particular vendor who was selling mutter (peas) kulcha (micro-area). I noticed many problem area about this ‘thela’. To begin with, the thela wasn’t covered from the top. The simple fact that it doesn’t have a makeshift roof means that many sediments/dust particles can fall onto the food and contaminate it. The other perturbing thing I noticed was how the stall was located in a shady lane with minimal sunlight and dirt all around. The thela also used steel utensils which are later washed in (most probably) contaminated water. Among these factors I also noticed how small the size of the thela was and how the ingredients were not kept separately. All this is part of my problem area for the design brief.

Product board! Not so productive though!

Hey
I swear this is the last board. We did this in a day. Yes we completed it somehow.
For the product board, we created small sized drawings of all the various products found there and also, printed images.
We then created a beautiful background on the A3 sheet using Colorado pink, orange and yellow.
On this background, we pasted the pictures and drawings using double sided tape in a collage.

I was just glad we finished it. Yaaay!!

Socially awkward board!!

Hey guys,
These boards are killing me. The second one is Socio-culture (yes the people over there! Why would I want to talk about them? Just why!!).

Visually bored! Oops visual board!

Hey guys,
It's a nice sunny day I hope you guys are doing well :)
OUR VISUAL BOARD
Picture-Dhruvi Gupta

Our first board was the Visual Board, we decided to draw a chaotic scene scene of Chandni Chowk in the middle and on the side we planned to show the visual culture of Chandni Chowk through material. But due to lack of time( obviously!! What else would you expect from us?), we had to just draw. On one side we drew the heritage rich places in Chandni Chowk like Jama Masjid, sis gang sahib. (By we I mean, Jahnvi) (haha). And on the other, we drew patterns.
Bye I'll take your leave now. 😊

Not again with the boards, please!!

Hey guyss!!( I'm always this excited about writing a new post)

My last post was about the three boards that we had to make in our groups. WE WERE GIVEN JUST ONE DAY!! JUST ONE DAY!!

OhSoBoardWithThis

Hi guys!!
So today is just the right day for me to cry my heart out. And the reason can be summed up in merely a WORD. Literally!

'BOARDS'
No, not the examination. Thank god that's done.
I mean the boards I slogged with, for hours on the day before my module 3 submissions. I can see all of it right before my eyes. Same situation. Just a new module.

Anyhow, I'm done with cribbing. This module expects us to make three boards. Slightly different from the previous module.

Socio cultural board deals with all the people of Maliwara, the history and the evolution over the years.

Visual culture board is all about visual representations of Maliwara in terms of the architectural pattern, structures etc.

Lastly, the product merchandise scenario helps in understanding the products found in the Maliwara region.

That's pretty much it for now. Stay tuned for my next post guys!

KINARI BAZAAR

Hey everybody!
Today I'll be enlightening you about Kinaari bazaar, a market which is as old as any in Delhi.
You would think that this bazaar gets its name from the 'kinaara' or edge of some landmark. Let me tell you that you couldn't be farther from the truth! It is said that this busy marketplace for wedding finery actually derives its name from all the 'zari' and 'gota' (laces) sold here, the beautiful shiny stuff that adorns the border or Kinaara of kurtis and dupattas.

FIRST MEETING WITH THE CHAOTIC CHANDNI CHOWK

Hey Everybody!

CHAOTIC STREETS
I hope everyone is doing amazing. I'm here to enlighten you guys about the Moonlit Square, or Chandni Chowk as it is popularly known. But before I do any of that, I would like to begin by telling you about my first brush with this confusing yet fascinating place.

CHANDNI CHOWK A PLACE OF RELIGION

JAMA MASJID
Hey everybody!

I hope you guys are doing great. I'm back to continue on my journey into Chandni Chowk. I hope you guys are enjoying as I go along.

RICH HERITAGE OF CHANDNI CHOWK

Hey everybody!

I'm back and this time I'm going to actually be doing what I said in my last post which is to enlighten you about Chandni Chowk.
So the origin of the Chandni Chowk dates back to the Mughal era. According to legend, Chandni Chowk was established during the reign of Shahjahan. This market was designed by his favorite daughter Jahanara. The Chandni Chowk you see today symbolizes development through 3 century (that's 300 years!).

MYSORE PALACE ARCHITECTURE: JOURNEY FROM SCOTLAND TO INDIA

Collage of Mysore Palace and Henry Irwin
Hiiii I’m back and today I will be giving you a short insight into the architecture of Mysore Palace. 😃
So basically, the architectural style of the Mysore Palace is described as a ‘hybrid’ design. Collectively, the Palace is made in a style called ‘Indo-Saracenic style (Yes, even I was as clueless as you guys are right now 😳 🙈)

ONE HELL OF A JOURNEY TO CHOOSING A TOPIC

LEVELS OF MIND MAPPING: MYSORE PALACE

Hey!!
This is my first experience at blogging and I am very excited to do this.
My topic is 'Mysore Palace: Unraveling the Stain Glass Work'.
Mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information. A mind map is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the centre of a blank landscape page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added.
Thank You :)
